HISTORY

We started our journey in the year 1990 with the name of PAWAN LEATHER WORKS, manufacturing a range of Leather footwear. The Company name was later changed to Wagh Footwear in 1998 under the current leadership of Mr. Sahebrao Wagh. Mr. Wagh (The Chairman) of Wagh Footwear has carry forwarded the legacy of manufacturing footwear from his father in 1950 from a huge domestic market to reaching international market. Even the third generation is enduring the legacy and has made their vision of creating one of INDIA’S leading suppliers of Leather Footwear.

We started exporting since 2007; we stand with a concrete & vintage experience of 26 years in the leather footwear trade. During these years we have grown to be a government-certified “Star Export House” and quality-conscious A SEDEX- 4 Pillar Audited Company" falling under Smeta Guidelines. We are an affiliated member of the “Council for Leather Exports”.

  1. Adhering safety in the work environment.
  2. Maintaining hygiene working environment at factory.
  3. On a regular basis there are experts called in the factory for audits and improvement of the company’s infrastructure.
  4. The workers are provided with the necessary equipment to prevent health hazards and the work environment is kept clean.
  5. There is a fire drill training given to the workers to prevent fire hazards. There are fire extinguishers installed throughout the company for extinguish.
  6. All flammable products are safely placed in compact shelters away from the reach of factory exposure.
  7. There are trained medical staffs to respond to any injuries resulting from minor accidents.

Research & Development

Our Research & Development team headed by Mr. Sahebrao Wagh boasts a whooping deliverance of an average of about 500 styles every season. The team supported by the experienced in-house designers & trained technical personnel to offer customized service to each customer & for every country with its own local needs. Development of the latest fashion is input from experienced designers.
